Abstract

This study investigates corrosion, blade damage, and efficiency degradation in gas turbine rotors at a natural gas chemical company, which results from prolonged operation. By integrating reverse engineering, precision machining, non-destructive testing, and dynamic balance optimization technologies, the rotor was dismantled, parts were repaired or replaced, and assembly and performance verification was completed. The project employs innovative techniques such as dry ice cleaning, hydraulic tensioning for step-by-step dismantling, and spark discharge atomic emission spectroscopy for material analysis to address technical challenges like rotor cleaning, long tie bolt removal, and material analysis. The modified rotor underwent high-speed dynamic balancing, with vibration values significantly lower than industry standards. The efficiency of the gas turbine improved by 6.5%, with stable operation maintained for over six months. This study offers an effective solution for gas turbine rotor operation and maintenance, demonstrating substantial economic and engineering application value.
