Abstract

In many enterprises, “SAP compliance” is still viewed through a narrow lens, as a matter of ensuring that the ERP system meets audit requirements, segregation-of-duties rules, and internal control standards. But in today’s landscape, this perspective is dangerously incomplete. Modern SAP environments are no longer isolated systems contained within the four walls of a data center. They are interconnected ecosystems in which the ERP is only one component among many, and where compliance risks often originate beyond SAP’s core.
