Abstract

This chapter explains big data architecture concepts and definitions. journey’s evolution, from the problems that inspired definitions, the architecture concepts, including data lakes, data lakehouses, the medallion architecture, and big data architectures like Lambda and Kappa. And finally, what the solutions solved, and what are the new and continuing challenges faced.
