Abstract

This analysis aimed to determine how green human resource managementGreen Human Resource Management practices affect EEB to enhance employeesEmployee’ ecological behavior to improve environmental efficiency. The research employed a qualitativeQualitative approach. Data collection methods included semi-structured face-to-face interviewsInterviews of academicsAcademics from Malaysian universitiesUniversities. According to the interviewInterviews transcripts, green human resource managementGreen Human Resource Management strategiesStrategy significantly affect employeeEmployee ecological behaviorEmployee ecological behavior. Green trainingTraining, green rewards and compensation, and green empowerment are the more influential factors shaping EEB at the workplace. This study contributes to the current literature by discussing how Green human resource managementGreen Human Resource Management practices of academicsAcademics influence EEB. The high EEB of academicsAcademics will facilitate universitiesUniversities in becoming more sustainableSustainable and environmentally friendly.
