Basic Equation of Seepage Flow

Abstract

According to the classical Darcy law, the relationship between the seepage flow velocity and the pressure gradient of horizontal flow is linear. If the axis z is vertically upward and the direction of seepage flow velocity is opposite to the axis z, the expression of Darcy’s equation of motion is as follows.
