Abstract

Delving into the strategic dimension of human resource management (HRM), this chapter defines and explores the meaning of strategy, its features, and levels. It connects strategic management with strategic human resource management (SHRM) and elucidates the role of HR managers in shaping organisational strategy. Interactive components including case studies, multiple-choice questions, fill in the blanks, and classroom exercises help students develop an advanced grasp of how HRM fits into larger company plans.
