Abstract

This chapter highlights the essential role of intuition and emotion in decision-making, emphasizing how sensory input and affective processes shape judgments. After exploring how human sensibility influences decision-making, it explains Affective Engineering and Emotional Design, which have gained significant attention in industry for their ability to harness human sensibility to create impactful products and services. The chapter then introduces the possibility model for quantifying emotional and intuitive factors and provides methods for integrating partial evaluations through tools such as ordered weighted averaging operators and non-additive measures.
