Abstract

India's Fintech arena has been witnessing an unprecedented growth trajectory due to increasing investor interest, the support of the government, and rapid digital penetration. Modern technological advancements are shaping the sector's changing landscape, affecting the existing modes of operation and business models. Specifically, this study explores the dynamic environment and how technologies foster financial inclusion and innovation. The upheavals in the finance domain have further calibrated both the market trends and challenges, demanding scrutinization, and as such, the critical categories, such as online banking, alternative lending, and digital payments, are analyzed. The study discusses how Fintech can expedite and support sustainable finance through environmentally friendly investments and AI solutions. The study reflects an enduring understanding of the drivers of technological advancements in Fintech by leveraging and garnering innovation for green finance. The chapter concludes by highlighting that AI's talent development and ethical use will be key to nurturing a future-proof Fintech ecosystem in India geared toward a fairer and more sustainable financial system in the long term.
