Abstract
The convergence of sustainable finance and artificial intelligence represents a transformative exemplar in the financial sector of any economy, fostering an era where technology synergizes with finance to drive innovative and responsible financial practices. The purpose of this book chapter is to provide a concise summary of the adoption of financial technology in the financing and investment decisions, exploration of sustainable finance, elucidating its core principles, objectives and its role in addressing global challenges. This chapter digs into the foundational concepts of sustainable finance, including ESG criteria, impact investing, and green finance, emphasizing their importance in creating long-term value and promoting ethical investment strategies. Further, this chapter examines the integration of AI within sustainable finance, highlighting how advanced technologies are revolutionizing data analysis, risk assessment, and decision-making processes. It delves into the foundational concepts of sustainable finance, including ESG criteria, impact investing, and green finance, emphasizing their importance in creating long-term value and promoting ethical investment strategies. The approach for this book chapter encompasses a multidimensional perspective. Initially, it examines the landscape of Sustainable finance and innovations in the field of finance and the use of artificial intelligence. The chapter also refers to the use cases as how the use of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, predictive analysis and AI enables the identification of ESG risks and opportunities in the business and facilitating the creation of sustainable global economy. Through the use-cases and extensive literature review assess how these technologies have impacted the green finance with the use of AI.
