Abstract

Central bankers are increasingly alarmed by the surge in cybercrime, particularly state-sponsored attacks, which pose significant risks due to their potential for widespread disruption. Managing cross-border cyberattacks is challenging for financial institutions, necessitating enhanced international cooperation. The rise in state-sponsored cyber threats emphasizes the importance of robust cybersecurity measures and proactive defense strategies. Collaboration with domestic and international authorities is essential for strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, sharing threat intelligence, and developing effective response protocols. Moreover, investing in advanced technologies and cybersecurity training for personnel is crucial to mitigate the risks posed by sophisticated cyber threats.
