Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is promoting social development with unprecedented breadth and depth, accelerating its penetration into areas such as scientific research, business innovation, national security, and daily life, and internalizing itself within these areas to boost global operation efficiency. First, the combination of AI and scientific research has brought about changes to scientific research methods based on traditional academic experience. Previously unknown theories can now be mined from a large number of known papers and experimental data. This accelerates the acquisition of documents in chemistry, materials, physics, and drug discovery and enhances the efficiency of experimental discovery. AI is now a key driving force for scientific and technological competition. Second, the field of AI has emerged as the next major arena for business innovation and competition. The expanding deployment of intelligent applications by traditional industry giants in specific segments such as supply chain, quality detection, and business decision-making is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of production processes, quality control, and business operations and optimize working conditions. Third, intelligent applications are constantly adapted to and refined for more specific needs that occur during daily life such as in entertainment, consumer electronics, and healthcare. Intelligent consumer products like indoor security drones and user-friendly virtual assistants are also emerging. Furthermore, medical diagnosis chatbots and intelligent imaging diagnosis are gradually being promoted to relieve existing shortages and uneven distribution of medical resources. Fourth, education and training are increasingly intelligent and online. Applications such as OCR question identification and auxiliary grading have made the move from pilot to large scale, realizing more precise teaching management and facilitating the establishment of a personalized learning system. Fifth, world-leading countries have fully recognized the value of integrating AI technologies with national defense security and invested targeted funds to promote the development of intelligent national defense applications such as predictive maintenance, autonomous driving, information analysis, and intelligent flight control.
