Abstract

In this chapter, the background of linear modeling for a wide variety of distributions of outcome variables is displayed. It presents the exponential forms and different components for each outcome variable, along with their natural or canonical linkCanonical link functions, culminating in the formation of generalized linear models. The text provides a detailed exposition of the components and applications of generalized linear models across a variety of distributions.
