Abstract

Sustainable entrepreneurship is gaining importance in the recent times and becoming increasingly crucial for inclusive economic growth in India. This chapter explores the relationship between sustainable entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth by emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs in adopting or creating business models that promote sustainability, social equity, community development, and economic inclusivity. It delves into how sustainable practices like waste reduction, resource management, and social responsibility integrated into traditional entrepreneurship can contribute to inclusive economic growth that benefits all segments of society, reduces poverty, provides livelihoods, encourages broad participation, and sustainable development. The chapter explores policy frameworks, government initiatives, role of SMEs, innovation, and start-up ecosystems, which promote sustainable entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth as well as the challenges and opportunities, especially in the developing economies like India. Besides this, it also highlights the recommendations of the role played by collaboration between the Public and private sectors in enabling Inclusive Economic Growth fostering Resilient, Equitable, and Environmental Protection.
