Abstract

This chapter explores the profound effects of automation and technology on women’s work-life balance. As workplaces increasingly adopt automation, women are experiencing shifts in both professional and personal spheres. While technology has enabled greater flexibility through remote work and digital tools, it has also blurred the boundaries between work and home life. The chapter delves into the dual impact of these advancements, highlighting both opportunities and challenges. It examines how automation can reduce repetitive tasks, offering women more time for family and personal pursuits, yet it also raises concerns about job displacement and the intensification of work demands.
