Abstract

The current chapter critically examines how knowledge exchange has evolved over the years, from being a traditionally securitized asset to an invaluable and open, diffused resource. The analysis assumes that informal social network, along with technology-mediated social networks, is the critical infrastructural support of this transition. The work combines classical theoretical approaches with both historical and modern examples, providing empirical evidence. The chapter then explores how artificial intelligence, blockchain, and immersive technologies have altered collaborative learning processes and innovative practices. The discussion covers topical moral issues, such as algorithmic discrimination and online disparity. Finally, the chapter identifies strategic implications in building resilient knowledge ecosystems that can guide scholars, organizational leaders, and practitioners toward successful use of networked knowledge.
