Abstract

The conclusion puts together the study findings and stresses how powerful digital cash transfers are in Bangladesh’s Social Safety Net (SSN) programs. It shows how important targeted actions are for solving long-lasting problems. The research shows that digitisation has greatly improved financial inclusion, government, and service delivery by making it easier for people to receive cash quickly and easily, being more open about how things work, and reducing leakages. Not having enough internet access, not knowing how to use technology well, and social and cultural barriers make it hard for some groups, like women, the elderly, and people living in rural areas, to fully capitalise these benefits. Policymakers who take a broad view and employ new technology, initiatives that teach people new skills, and tailored solutions might establish a digital cash transfer system that is more open and works better. The latter section of the chapter includes helpful recommendations, focusing on how to make digital tools simpler to get to, teach people how to use them, strengthen government processes, and deal with social and cultural concerns. The book helps achieve sustainable development goals by ensuring that the advantages of digitisation extend to the most disadvantaged populations. This makes society more fair and welcoming to everyone.
