Abstract
In today's world, where digital technologies are part of our everyday lives, forming students’ digital competencies is a top priority in every European educational system. This study aims to identify and investigate the problems in training students to form digital competence to meet the requirements and needs of public (government) sector organizations. The public sector is the leading employer that provides young people with various opportunities to realize and improve their professional knowledge and teachings. The symbiosis between education and the public sector has recently become established as an employer to enhance processes in one sphere and the other. However, there are still several problems in the relevant sectors of the economy, especially when forming a well-prepared workforce that can work in the new digital environment. The purpose of the overall research is to establish what is the relationship and dependence between the training and preparation of students and their subsequent influence on the effectiveness of the productivity of control institutions. In this abstract, we will not fully reveal all the research results. However, I will leave that to the readers to familiarize themselves with the development and reach the conclusion with their scientific curiosity. Here, we only emphasize that such a relationship was found. The results are more than definitive that state institutions should advertise their activities more among young people so that they know they can work for them and be better prepared for work in the public administration sector, which is much more complex and specific than the private sector. The problems of training students and forming digital competence will be tested and investigated with the help of mathematical and statistical methods to determine its influence and impact on their preparation for professional realization in the public sector. This article is an NPI project No. 64/2023, approved by the University of Economics—Varna, Bulgaria.
