Abstract

Zusammenfassung In Kap. 3 haben wir die theoretischen Grundlagen von Spielen in Normalform erörtert. Dieses Kapitel bietet einen prägnanten Überblick über wichtige Anwendungen des Operations Management (OM), die in der Normalform dargestellt werden können. Das Newsvendor-Problem veranschaulicht effektiv die grundlegenden Prinzipien des Operations Management. In seiner einfachsten Ausprägung, wie in Kap. 1 erläutert, bestimmt eine Entscheidungsträgerin die Bestellmenge, indem sie die Kosten unzureichender Lagerbestände sorgfältig gegen die Aufwendungen übermäßiger Lagerhaltung abwägt. Zahlreiche Anwendungen solcher Modelle finden sich in Bereichen mit flüchtiger und unsicherer Nachfrage. Die grundlegende Annahme ist, dass die Entscheidungsträgerin alleinige Kontrolle über ihre Auszahlungen besitzt. Es ist jedoch wichtig anzuerkennen, dass neben der Unsicherheit der Nachfrage auch mehrere Entscheidungsträger in der Umgebung existieren können, die jeweils eigennützig handeln und bestrebt sind, die Umgebung zu ihrem Vorteil zu beeinflussen. Unter diesen Bedingungen wird der Einsatz der Spieltheorie in Newsvendor-Modellen relevant und entscheidend.
