Abstract

Zusammenfassung Selbst wenn ein Unternehmen die bestmögliche Daten- und Analytics-Strategie definiert, kann es auf seiner Daten- und Analytics-Reise scheitern, wenn es nicht über die richtige Führungskraft verfügt. Neben dem Umgang mit den Unwägbarkeiten einer groß angelegten Daten- und Analytics-Initiative muss die Führungskraft auch die organisationalen Komplexitäten (politischer, struktureller usw. Art), die in jedem großen Unternehmen inhärent sind, bewältigen. Daher muss sie im Bereich Daten und Analytics neben den Hard Skills wie Technologie- und Data-Science-Kompetenz auch zahlreiche Soft Skills besitzen. Bei der Einstellung einer Führungskraft für Daten und Analytics machen Unternehmen häufig den Fehler, sich ausschließlich auf die Hard Skills zu konzentrieren. Verfügt die Führungskraft nicht über alle erforderlichen Soft Skills, können die Akzeptanz und der Reifegrad von Daten und Analytics im Unternehmen trotz erheblicher Investitionen an Zeit und Geld gering bleiben.
