Abstract

This chapter is based on the article “Building trust takes time: limits to arbitrage for blockchain-based assets” by Nikolaus Hautsch, Christoph Scheuch, and Stefan Voigt, published in Review of Finance in 2024 ( https://doi.org/10.1093/rof/rfae004 ). Stefan Voigt, an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Copenhagen, kindly agreed to summarize their joint research and serves as the corresponding author for this chapter.
