Abstract

This chapter seeks to make the problematic of the quest for planetary well-beingPlanetary well-being comprehensible by placing it within the framework of a theoretical model of societyModel of society which formsForms the core of the argument. A cognitive perspective is adopted which is presented in a critical-sociologicalCritical sociology form. The central concern of the modelling is the cognitive-theoretical recuperation of the generative means and form elements whereby societySociety is historically generated and structurally organised in the course of their mediationMediation.
