Abstract

Awareness of human activity’s harmful impact on the environment has made environmental sustainabilityenvironmental sustainability a major issue in modern civilization. It has become one of the most crucial ethical imperatives for businesses, which focus more and more on encouraging employees to act in the greenest and most environmentally sustainable ways when within the organization. Green human resource management (HRM) approaches, incorporating environmental considerations, are being used to address this. HRM, rewards, and motivation with green HRM practices are key to environmental sustainabilityenvironmental sustainability in the company of today. HRM’s involvement in supporting sustainable practices has grown as organizations tackle environmental issues. Organizations can motivate employees to embrace environmentally friendly practices and contribute to organizational sustainability goals by linking rewards and recognition to green habits and performance. As a consequence, sustainability in the workplaceworkplace has become a crucial topic for scholars to study. In this study, the authors considered a corpus from the Scopus database from 1984 to 2024. They performed bibliometric analysis using VOSviewerVOSviewer to provide insights into year-wise publication, leading authors, dominating journals, and keyword analysiskeyword analysis. The chapter highlights various steps businesses can take to promote workplaceworkplace sustainability, which can benefit both the business and employee well-beingemployee wellbeing.
