A Simulation Research on Innovation-Driving Evolution of Internet Business Organizations

Abstract

Taking the theories of organizational innovation and value as the starting point, this paper aims to construct the conceptual framework of an innovation-driven evolution model of Internet commerce organizations combining the characteristics manifest in evolution process of Internet commerce organizations in China. From the perspective of organization system, this paper analyses the mechanism of Internet commerce organizations’ evolution, which is driven by innovation, and selects “core ability of competition” and “resource integration ability” as two order parameters. The research analyses the equilibrium point and stability condition of the evolution model of Internet commerce organizations and carries out computer simulation on different evolutionary stages. Additionally the study shows that when the feedback coefficient of the organization system is negative and the increasing rate of core competence is smaller than the elimination rate, so the organization system needs an external force to enter the senior evolving phase transition; while when it is greater, the organizational system enters the positive feedback state and jumps to the advanced order stage. When the self-feedback coefficient of the organizational system is negative and the increase rate of core competence of the organization is greater than the elimination rate, the organization is in a self-stable state at the current programming.
