Abstract

At the end of the eastern Han dynasty, a group of troops trod the pavement and walked wearily along an official road in the south of the Yangtze River. Some soldiers were especially exhausted and vulnerable. They hadn’t had enough to eat for days and the situation seemed to get worse. The leading general Zhou Yu suddenly thought of nearby rich Lu Su, and decided to go to Lu Su’s home.
