Abstract

Population aging is a major problem currently faced by countries around the world. Germany entered the aging society in the 1980s and became one of the most aging countries in the world. It is also one of the first countries in the world to start systematically dealing with the aging problem. The aging population poses huge challenges to all areas of the German economy and society, among which the pressure of the social security system is the most prominent.
