Abstract

The major crisis faced by modern economic and social development is a major issue of common concern throughout the world. History evidence shows that the core driving force to get humanity out of economic crises is the scientific and technological revolution. The 21st century is the century of biology, and the biotechnological revolution will lead a new round of scientific and technological revolution, which will produce a new economic pattern—bioeconomy. At present, most countries in the world attach great importance to the development of the bioeconomic industry. The bioeconomic industry is accelerating to become a new leading industry after the Internet industry. The author put forward a new concept of bioeconomy—Pan's bioeconomy, by applying the concepts and methods of life sciences and medicine in the study of economic and social issues. On this basis, the author constructed a bioeconomy system, including bioeconomic theory, bioeconomic model and bioeconomic industry. Pan's bioeconomy, as a new economic science, has a complete scientific system, which will give a pair of eyes to mankind, and bring a new perspective and understanding to humanity. In 1998, the author predicted that “humans will enter the era of bioeconomy in 2020” ,which has already become a reality.
