Abstract

The Digital revolution has entered the public discourse in many countries. The Digital revolution is becoming a key driver of society's transformation. The dynamics and threats of the Digital revolution are essential for the proper implementation of this transformative change. The Digital revolution is also expected to transform the way global economies operate. It will also alter the way we view the Sustainability paradigm. The emergence of the internet of everything (IoE) promises to transform how we live and work. This paper aims to develop a conceptual framework that explains how the IoE may affect business models and create value. In this chapter, the authors discuss the various aspects of the IoE and how it will affect how organizations operate. The Digital revolution is the most critical transformation we need to implement to reach Sustainable Development Goals. Its implementation will require precise science, technology, and innovation roadmaps at all levels. The Digital revolution is a powerful force that can shape the future of sustainable development. It can generate disruptive ideas and solutions but should be handled with caution and care. The chapter also outlines the various conditions that a successful digital transformation will require, such as good governance, prosperity, and social inclusion. It also talks about the social implications of the Digital revolution. Here authors tried to analyze the current implementation activities of significant transformation needed sectors and their synchronization with long-term sustainability goal achievement for the next 50 years.
