Abstract

The complexity of the study requires a detailed description of methodology and data strategies. Before continuing the analysis, there is explanation of the strategic approach on the mixed-method approach adopted for this book. The mixed-method strategy allows gaining deeper understanding of the phenomenon under investigation and improving knowledge creation thanks to the integration of different types of data and joint interpretation of the findings. Although the whole study focuses on two main cases, the limitation of the data is the criteria of entering time in terms of modelling of the determinants and motivations of location decisions firm-level location-decision and motivation. After econometrics discussion, the study focuses on the case studies by adopting interviews, including includes the design process of interview structure, characteristics of the sample, question layers and the summary of result. However, in this study, the mixed-method strategy was not equally applied to both telecommunication and construction sectors.
