Abstract

In this chapter, we give some fundamentals and elementary results about projections, particular functions such as the function of finite-order and the sine-type function, which are used in the sequel. We also recall Phragmén-Lindelöf theorems, spectral properties of holomorphic operator functions. After that, we introduce some definitions about the theory of semigroup. Some concepts of comparison of operators such as concepts of subordination and fully subordination are given.
