Abstract

This chapter is concerned with secure communication based on chaotic synchronization with propagation delays in signal transmission. Parameter uncertainties and a constant and time-varying propagation delay are taken into account. Using a Wirtinger-based multiple integral inequality and a new Lyapunov functional, new delay-dependent synchronization criteria are established to not only guarantee the synchronization between chaotic systems in transmitter and receiver systems but also recover the original message signals. An example is given to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
