Abstract

Until now, in nearly all programming languages expressions are based on operators and functions. The operands are evaluated and then the operator or function is called. The languages differ in provided standard operators and functions, supported data types and means for user defined types, functions and operators. Although most operators may be overloaded in modern languages, the evaluation semantics of an expression is not touched.
