Abstract

This paper presents the methodology to carry out an expert system able to filter error messages during the control stage of a statistical survey’s processing. This system allows to reduce the size of listings of error messages, usually difficult to read and to manage for the analysts. It’s a part of the European project ESIA, which the aim is to develop an automatized system of data processing, from their collection to their publication. The field for testing the prototype is the Annual Survey on Firms.
