Abstract

The contribution connects the paradigm arising from so called neo-modularity, used, e.g., in robotic systems design, with the formal framework of colonies — a part of the theory of grammar systems. Some problems studied in the field of colonies are informally connected with some problems of system design according to the neo-modularity concept. Along these lines, a dynamic descriptional complexity measure, namely the degree of cooperation, is introduced and studied.
