Abstract

Samenvatting Arts-assistenten in opleiding tot medisch specialist (aios) vormen een grote en belangrijke groep medewerkers in veel ziekenhuizen. Door overheidsbeleid zijn substantiële veranderingen in aantallen te verwachten. In dit hoofdstuk worden deze veranderingen toegelicht en gekwantificeerd. Aios leren het vak en worden zo voorbereid op een toekomstige functie als medisch specialist. Maar ze leveren in het kader van hun opleiding ook een zekere arbeidsinzet. Het meten en kwantificeren van hun arbeidsinzet maakt inzichtelijk welke winst dit financieel, organisatorisch én onderwijskundig oplevert. Aan de hand van een stappenplan wordt toegelicht hoe hun arbeidsinzet gekwantificeerd kan worden. Dat wordt nader toegelicht aan de hand van een praktijkcasus Dermatologie.
