Abstract

Samenvatting Grotere vakgroepen van medisch specialisten, vrijgevestigd of in loondienst, doen de behoefte aan transparantie toenemen. Transparantie als antwoord op vragen als: is de werklast redelijk in relatie tot de formatie (c.q. de capaciteit)? Of moet er werk af of formatie bij? Is de werklast goed over alle individuen verdeeld? En zijn er mogelijkheden voor efficiencyverbetering, gegeven de hoge loonkosten van naar schatting ten minste 220.000 euro per formatieplaats? We berekenen eerst de inzetbaarheid van de gemiddelde medisch specialist en werken drie voorbeelden uit. Het eerste betreft de kwantificering van het takenpakket van een vakgroep neonatologen. Het tweede gaat over het vertalen van de totale formatie van een vakgroep radiologen naar beschikbare uren en naar deeltaken. Het laatste voorbeeld betreft het doorrekenen van de taken van een groep kindernefrologen. De methodiek kan ook toegepast worden voor paramedici.
