Abstract

Riassunto Nella prima parte di questo libro abbiamo descritto la genesi “partecipativa”, i contenuti matematici e le metodologie didattiche del percorso BetOnMath, un percorso di insegnamento della probabilità volto a prevenire l’abuso del gioco d’azzardo tra gli studenti delle scuole superiori di secondo grado. Dopo aver descritto il percorso didattico e alcune sue possibili varianti, ci siamo soffermati su tre caratteristiche fondanti: la partecipazione attiva degli studenti, l’interazione con i simulatori di gioco d’azzardo e il coinvolgimento degli insegnanti. Abbiamo riflettuto sul ruolo del corpo e delle emozioni nei processi di apprendimento, e sul valore delle narrazioni autobiografiche. Nella seconda parte del libro abbiamo invece esplorato il multiforme e complesso mondo del gioco d’azzardo con una traiettoria che partendo dai suoi aspetti socio-culturali, e passando per il terreno della psicologia delle dipendenze e delle possibili strategie preventive che si possono mettere in atto, è tornato al mondo della scuola per analizzare il rapporto tra giovani e gioco con cui l’esperienza del progetto BetOnMath si è confrontata.
