Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Notwendigkeit eines umfassenden Total Quality Managements (TQM) ist das Wesen dieses Kapitels. Qualitätsmanagement handelt von der systematischen Art und Weise, zu garantieren, dass organisierte Aktivitäiten so ablaufen, wie sie geplant sind. Daher werden hier viele alte und neue Philosophien des Qualitätsmanagements diskutiert. Unter allen ist der Deming’s Plan-Do-Check-Act, der die grundlegende Logik des datenbasierten Projektmanagements beschreibt, und Crosby’s Prinzip des „Doing it right the first time“ immer noch relevant in Organisationen und Institutionen. Darüber hinaus wird die Qualitäts-Trilogie-Philosophie von Juran und das robuste Design von Taguchi von Managern weltweit für die Qualitätsverbesserung umfangreich genutzt. Das von Ishikawa eingeführte Ursache-Wirkungs-Diagramm wird auch sporadisch von allen Qualitätspraktikern verwendet. Dies alles abgesehen von den verschiedenen national und international genutzten Systemen. Viele solcher Qualitätsverbesserungswerkzeuge sind in diesem Kapitel enthalten.
