Further Analytical Approximation Methods and Some Applications

Abstract

In this chapter four additional analytical approximation methods are presented, namely the perturbation method, the energy balance method, the Hamiltonian approach, and the homotopy analysis method. After a short description of their theoretical background, we show exemplary how these methods can be used to solve problems from the applied physics and engineering.
