Abstract

The Minkowski force, four momentum and relativistic kinetic energy have been discussed in Chap. 10. The relativistic kinetic energy with its classical counterpart is graphically compared. The relation of energy with mass and momentum is also explored and an evidence in support of mass–energy relation is proved. The covariant formulation of the Newton’s law has been explained. Examples of longitudinal mass and transverse mass have been defined and provided.
