Abstract

The purpose of this article is to give some calculation concerned with a part of the paper [AKT3]. In the paper, we have constructed families of formal solutions having two arbitrary constants to the Painlevé equations with a large parameter and discussed formal reduction of the second Painlevé equations to the first Painlevé equation (with a large parameter). First few terms of the formal solutions are given in the appendix of the paper for the cases of the first and the second Painlevé equations, but detailed calculation has not been given there. Thus, we present here the construction of formal solutions to the second Painlevé equations in detail. For the first Painlevé case, see [A].
