Abstract

Zusammenfassung „Unternehmensführung in einer komplexen Welt“ lautet der Titel der IBM Global CEO Study aus dem Jahre 2010. Viermal wurde die Global CEO Study bereits durchgeführt. Bei den letzten drei Malen bezeichneten die CEOs übereinstimmend die Fähigkeit, Veränderungen zumeistern, als dringlichste Herausforderung. Dieses Mal brachten unsere Gespräche eine neue vorrangige Herausforderung zutage: Komplexität. Die CEOs sind der Meinung, dass die Welt, in der sie agieren, sehr viel dynamischer, unsicherer und komplexer geworden ist. Viele teilen die Ansicht, dass schrittweise realisierte Veränderungen in einerWelt, die völlig anders funktioniert als bisher, nicht mehr genügen. [...] Die Komplexität wird künftig weiter zunehmen, und mehr als die Hälfte der CEOs hat Zweifel, ob sie diese Komplexität beherrschen können.
