Abstract

Zusammenfassung Es können vier Entwicklungsstufen der Corporate Governance (zu deutsch Unternehmensführung und ‐erfolgskontrolle) unterschieden werden (vgl. Abb. 1). 1. der prestigeträchtige Board (prestigious board): vor den großen Corporate Governance‐ Skandalen üblich in großen privaten und staatlichen Organisationen, 2. der unternehmerische Board (family business board): häufig in Familiengesellschaften, 3. der gesetzes‐ und richtlinientreue Board (compliant board): gegenwärtig in den meisten Industrieländern noch die Norm, nachdem aufgrund der Corporate Governance‐ Skandale Best Practice‐Empfehlungen eingeführt wurden, 4. der wirksame Board (effective board): heute u.a. häufig in erfolgreichen transnationalen Gesellschaften und internationalen Familienunternehmen.
