Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kaum ein anderes Thema fand in den letzten Jahren in der Literatur und Unternehmenspraxis eine so große Beachtung wie Leadership. So war und ist zu lesen, dass viele Unternehmen „Overmanaged und Underled“ sind (vgl. z.B. Wunderer 2003). Es wird herausgestellt, dass starke Leaderpersönlichkeiten gebraucht werden, um in einem Unternehmen alte Denkmuster aufzubrechen und Veränderungen erfolgreich umzusetzen (vgl. Bass 1985). Allerdings zeigt die Unternehmenspraxis sowohl herausragend positive als auch negative Fälle von starken Führungskräften, die ganze Unternehmen bedroht oder zerstört haben. Bei der Auseinandersetzung mit Best Practices und Trends ist festzustellen, dass es eine Vielzahl interessanter und Erfolg versprechender Ansätze gibt. Eine abschließende Antwort auf die Frage, was gutes und erfolgreiches Leadership ausmacht, scheint es bisher jedoch (noch) nicht zu geben.
