Abstract

Zusammenfassung In fast allen Organisationen fallen sofort die Hierarchien ins Auge. Schon ein einfacher Blick auf das Organigramm der Deutschen Bank zeigt uns, dass die Bereiche, Abteilungen und Gruppen hierarchisch angeordnet sind. In der US-amerikanischen Armee gab es eine Zeitlang 26 verschiedene Hierarchiestufen – vom einfachen Gefreiten, dem sogenannten E1, bis zum Fünfsterne-General, eine Position, die bisher lediglich George Washington und Dwight D. Eisenhower eingenommen haben. Und manche staatliche Entwicklungshilfeorganisation, die sich für ihre flache Hierarchie loben lässt, verfügt bei 5.000 Mitarbeitern selbst bei vorsichtigen Zählungen über acht Hierarchiestufen.
