Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Bedeutung von Value-Added Services in der Spezialchemie hat in den letzten Jahren stark zugenommen. So gut wie kein Produkt wird ohne irgendeine Art der Zusatzleistung vermarktet. Ganz im Gegenteil: Die Anzahl der Zusatzleistungen wird immer höher. Unsere Erfahrung zeigt, dass ein Portfolio von über 70 Value-Added Services im Bereich Logistik, Anwendungstechnik, Forschung & Entwicklung oder Verkaufsberatung in der Spezialchemie keine Seltenheit ist (Homburg/Staritz/Bingemer 2008). Alleine diese Zahl lässt erahnen, welche Komplexität und welche Kosten mit einem solchen Serviceportfolio verbunden sind. Berücksichtigt man in diesem Zusammenhang noch die Tatsache, dass nach unseren Erfahrungen über 90% dieser Zusatzleistungen ohne eine direkte Verrechnung vermarktet werden, sondern als kostenloses Add-on zu dem Produkt beigegeben werden, wird die Bedeutung eines systematischen Managements dieser Leistungen noch deutlicher.
