Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die betriebswirtschaftliche Logistik hat seit den Anfängen systematischer Auseinandersetzung einen qualitativen Wandel vollzogen, wie es so kaum für eine zweite betriebswirtschaftliche Disziplin zutrifft. Während die Logistik in ihren Anfängen kaum über die Rolle eines Erfüllungsgehilfen mit klarem Schwerpunkt auf die physische Abwicklung von Transporten hinauskam, so hat sie sich mittlerweile zu einer modernen Führungskonzeption entwickelt, in deren Zentrum die Entwicklung, Gestaltung, Lenkung und Realisation effektiver und effizienter Güter-, Informations-, Geld- und Finanzflüsse zur Erschließung unternehmensweiter und unternehmensübergreifender Erfolgspotenziale steht.
