Abstract

Zusammenfassung Postulate wie „Trendbrüche antizipieren“, „durch Trendführerschaft die Marktführerschaft sichern“ oder „durch Corporate Foresight die Zukunft gestalten“ drücken das Bestreben aus, mit gleichzeitig hellsichtigem und proaktivem Vorgehen Wettbewerbsvorteile zu kreieren und zu verstetigen. Es gilt als Verdienst von Igor Ansoff (1976), mit der „Strategischen Frühaufklärung“ ein eigenes, parallel zur strategischen Planung geführtes Managementsystem begründet zu haben, das dies unterstützt. Nur selten wird dagegen erwähnt, dass eine vergleichbare Idee von Bright (1970) bereits einige Jahre zuvor auf dem Gebiet des Technologie- und Innovationsmanagements publiziert worden war. Es liegt auch nahe, dass im Kontext von Technologie und Innovation der Bedarf nach Frühaufklärung schon früh in besonderer Schärfe aufgetreten war. Insofern kann man die sogenannte „Technologie-Frühaufklärung“ auch als Vorläufer der „Strategischen Frühaufklärung“ betrachten.
