Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Beschleunigung des technologischen Wandels, immer kürzere Produktlebenszyklen, ein verstärkter weltweiter Wettbewerb, Rohstoffverknappungen und die Sättigung nationaler Märkte zwingen Unternehmen dazu, ständig neue, innovationskräftige Technologien in Produkte und Produktionsprozesse zu integrieren. Vor allem kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KMU) stehen dabei grundsätzlich vor der Frage, wie sie das Dilemma ihrer Situation, bestehend aus einem stetigen Lern-, Kosten- und Innovationsdruck und den ständig wachsenden F&E-Anforderungen bei gleichzeitig beschränkten eigenen Ressourcen, auflösen können.
