Abstract

Zusammenfassung Lange Zeit ging man in Wissenschaft und Praxis davon aus, dass Neuprodukte und Innovationen zwingend auf Ideen und Entwicklungen von Herstellerunternehmen zurückgehen. Ein Großteil der Methoden und Instrumente des Innovationsmanagements unterstellt passive Käufer, die man nicht nach konkreten Vorschlägen für neue oder innovativ verbesserte Produkte fragen darf. „If I had asked my customers what they wanted, they'd have asked for a faster horse“ fasste einst Henry Ford diese Denkrichtung zusammen. Aktuelle Versionen dieser auf den ersten Blick griffigen Formeln liefert heute beispielsweise Steve Jobs.
