Abstract

Zusammenfassung Systementwickler und Modullieferanten können heute in vielen Branchen angetroffen werden: Der Systementwickler konzentriert sich auf die Erfüllung einer Funktion und bietet diese für möglichst viele Produkte an. Der Modullieferant beherrscht eine Baugruppe produktionstechnisch und sucht Skaleneffekte, indem sein Modul in mehreren Systemen verwendet wird. Am bekanntesten ist die Systematik in der Automobilbranche und der PC-Industrie. Modularisierung findet aber nicht mehr nur in den typischen Modularisierungsbranchen statt, sondern auch in Industrien, in welchen lange Zeit keine entsprechende Tendenz spürbar war:
